Lil Gobbler Trot

Kid’s Race

We divide the kids up by age and will send them down a short trail near the blue shed. This is fun and laid back. Parents are more than welcome to stand along the course.

This kid’s race is FREE. Registration will be available online. We encourage a registration “fee” of 5 canned foods, which can be brought to packet pickup the day before the race.

Kids races begin at 10:30am.

FAQs

Are strollers allowed?

Due to the terrain of the dirt trails, we recommend no strollers.

Can I run with my dog?

Be aware that the trail is narrow, crowded, there are lots of children/families/etc., and sometimes loud, scary noises (music, air horn, etc). If you feel your dog will be able to handle this stimuli without injuring him/herself or someone else, and will be leashed the whole time, a dog is welcomed.

Is there a cut off time?

We ask all runners to be cleared off the 5k/10k course by 11:00 a.m. and the half marathon course by 12:00 p.m. This is 4 hours for the half marathon, approximately 18-ish minutes per mile pace.

Will this event be cancelled due to weather?

Only if conditions are considered extremely dangerous (severe lightning, blizzard conditions, etc). On race day, if the race is cancelled, you’ll be able to pick up your t-shirt and packet at Lake Cunningham, but no refunds will be given. In case of cancellation, an announcement will be made via the Feast and Feathers facebook/twitter/instagram pages, an email blast sent out to all registered participants, as well as posted on the main page of this website.

I signed up but now I can't run this event; can I get my money back?

No refunds will be issued.

Race Transfers ("I signed up for the 10k, but I want to run the 5k instead," etc.)

All transfer requests prior to race day will be handled through ultrasignup with approval from the race directors. Downgrades and bib transfer accommodations can be made with sufficient notice to the race directors. We will only accept downgrades between distances, without a refund. Please contact us at info@feastandfeathers.com.

Race day transfer requests MUST be handled through the event chip timers. Please see the very nice timing folks who will be located near the start/finish with your race day transfer requests.

**If you intend to drop down in distance on race day, you must tell the timing table at least 30 minutes BEFORE your race start.**

Aid Stations

There will be three aid stations for the half. Locations are TBD at this time as each year we will be keepin y’all on your toes and move the route around a bit! However, one will be water only and the other two will have water and Tailwind.

In an effort to keep our trails “clean and green”, we have gone cupless. Please bring your own water bottles to be filled at each aid station, our volunteers will assist you! This means NO CUPS at aid stations.

Can I donate without running?

Yes! You can donate directly to the Food Bank for the Heartland here.

I'd like to sponsor or volunteer. How do I do that?

Check out the info on our Volunteering & Sponsorship page, or email us at info@feastandfeathers.com.

Volunteers get a **volunteer exclusive** stocking cap!

What shirts will be provided?

Shirts are unisex long sleeve cotton. Shirts and mugs are guaranteed until November 1st.

Do you have a finisher medal or other awards?

Our standing tradition is custom ceramic coffee mugs for half marathon finishers and a Village Inn pumpkin pie for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male/female in each distance. PIES!!!!!!!!!

Mugs guaranteed until November 1st.

Will you be timing runners?

Feast and Feathers is chip timed thanks to GOATZ!
